Your Growth Partner.
Guastella Advisors was founded on a single conviction: every business — regardless of size — deserves a high-caliber CFO. We bring fortune-500 financial discipline, clarity, and strategy to the small businesses that drive the real economy, so owners can focus on what they do best.
If any of this hits close to home, you're not alone.
These are the problems we hear from small business owners every week. They're not signs that anything is wrong with your business — they're signs you've outgrown the financial setup that got you here.
Let's fix it- Does it take forever to close the books?
Month-end drags into the third week. By the time you see the numbers, the decisions they should inform are already behind you.
- Is there always a surprise write-off after close?
Inventory adjustments. Uncollectible AR. A vendor accrual nobody tracked. Every close brings another hit you didn't see coming.
- Does cash flow feel like guesswork?
You check the bank balance more than the P&L. Payroll week is stressful. You're never quite sure what next month looks like.
- Are lender conversations stressful?
Covenant reporting is a scramble. You bring numbers your banker has to translate. The relationship feels reactive, not strategic.
- Are you making big decisions on instinct?
Hiring, pricing, equipment, expansion — the calls that matter most are being made without a clear financial picture behind them.
- Do the books tell you what happened, not what to do?
You have reports. You don't have answers. Nobody is turning the numbers into a plan.
This is the work. GA installs the visibility, structure, and rhythm that turns those problems into a system you can run the business on.
GA serves as your financial copilot.
We build the structure, visibility, and strategy that transforms day-to-day operations into scalable, lasting growth.
The right financial foundation doesn't just track the past — it engineers the future.
Eight ways we put CFO-level strategy to work.
Cash Flow Forecasting
Rolling 13-week forecast updated weekly so you always see what's coming — and decide before it arrives.
Budget vs. Actual Reviews
Monthly variance analysis that reveals the 'why' behind the numbers — not just what changed.
Bank Covenant Reporting
Proactive tracking so covenants are never a quarterly surprise — and your lender stays a partner.
Lender Liaison
GA sits in every lender meeting, translating your strategy into financial standing the bank can underwrite.
Financial Statement Package
Monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement — fully explained. Prepared for management use.
Debt Management & Capital Structure
We engineer the right mix of debt and terms — lowering cost of capital and turning liabilities into leverage.
Accounting Cleanup & Formal Close
A disciplined month-end close, fully reconciled — so the books tell the truth and decisions stand up.
Scalability & Growth Strategy
GA turns financial clarity into a roadmap for sustainable growth and long-term enterprise value.

Jonathon A. Guastella
Jonathon founded Guastella Advisors on a single conviction: every business — regardless of size — deserves a high-caliber CFO. He brings the financial discipline of large enterprises to the small and owner-operated companies that drive the real economy.
He pairs the technical foundation of a CPA with the strategic lens of an MBA — and works directly with every client engagement as their financial copilot, not a hand-off.
Every business deserves a high-caliber CFO.
Big enterprises have always had access to CFO-level strategy, forecasting, and capital discipline. Most small businesses have not. GA exists to close that gap — regardless of size, stage, or industry.
How we work →Practical financial leadership, applied with discipline.
CFO-caliber thinking, small-business scale
Small businesses deserve the same caliber of financial guidance as large enterprises. GA bridges the gap — without the full-time CFO cost.

Common questions from owners.
- Are you a CPA firm or a consulting firm?
- Guastella Advisors, PLLC is a financial consulting and advisory firm. Our managing director is a licensed CPA, but the firm is intentionally focused on advisory work today — fractional CFO, financial strategy, cash flow, lender management, and scalability — and is not currently engaged to perform audits, reviews, or compilations.
- Who do you typically work with?
- Owner-operated and founder-led small businesses across industries — including professional services, trades and field services, trucking and logistics, and other operator-led companies preparing for their next growth chapter.
- How is this different from hiring a bookkeeper or controller?
- Bookkeepers record what already happened. Controllers close the month. GA sits a level higher — translating that information into the strategic and operating decisions an owner or CEO actually needs to make.
- Do you offer tax preparation?
- Tax preparation is not a current core service. GA coordinates with your existing tax advisors and structures the financial picture so tax planning conversations are sharper.
- What does an engagement look like?
- Most engagements start with a structured diagnostic, move into a recurring monthly close and reporting cadence, and continue as an ongoing fractional CFO relationship as the business scales — including lender meetings, board reporting, and capital decisions.
Let's talk about where your business is headed.
A focused conversation with Jonathon. No pitch, no obligation — just a sharper view of the financial decisions in front of you.
